Course aims
To create opportunities for a master's student to become an independent researcher. To support the conduct of research and the preparation, completion and defense of a master's thesis.
Brief description of the course
Main findings of the study. Writing a scientific text. Generalization of theoretical research data. Analysis and argumentation. Sampling, selection principles. Collection, interpretation and analysis of empirical research data (choice and justification of method (s)). Analysis and interpretation of research data in relation to the theoretical framework. Compilation of a master's thesis: creation of a structure, preparation of an introduction, summaries, summary. Preliminary defense of master's thesis.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- independently finds theoretical sources for research and develops a reasoned approach to the research subject;
- formulates the research problem, purpose, research questions / hypothesis, selects a suitable method for the research and conducts the research and analyzes the results;
- presents the aims, methodology and results of the research;
- discusses the topic of his / her research.
