Course aims
Core subject of Andragogy and its objective is to create preconditions for orientation in adult training management.
Brief description of the course
Changing labour market and requirements set to employees. Components of professional education. Qualification, competence, professionalism. Legal acts that regulate adult training (acts, regulations, directives). Trends in EU educational policy in the sphere of adult training. Legal preconditions: development plans and strategic documents. Types of adult training. Educational and labour force studies. Employee qualification systems. Economic and social demands in education. Workforce, its flexibility and mobility. Open labour market. Employment of people at risk. Labour market board and employment agencies. Labour market training – professional training and adaptation training.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- orients himself/herself in the field of leading professional adult training;
- is able to create connections between the basics of professional adult training and practice.
