Course aims
The subject belongs to the curriculum in educational sciences and the objective of the subject is to prepare students for planning, implementing and assessing a training project.
Brief description of the course
Concept and types of projects. Specific features of training project, its relation to an organisation. Need analysis and a problem-tree. Aims of a project: general and direct, “must” and “may” aims, inputs and outputs. Results. Specification of a target group. Strategic planning. Project phases and stages. Planning a project and logical matrix; main and support structures. Planning project strengths and resources, risk management. Activity relations. Gantt table. Project implementation and evaluation. Measuring of results. Evaluation indicators. Feedback methods. Project team and roles, manager’s role. Internal and external resources in a team. Team selection and motivation factors. Expert assistance. Communication. Vertical and horizontal information flows. Oral and written communication. Means (channels) of communication. Project environment. Budget for a training project.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the theoretical bases of planning, conducting and evaluating a training project;
- is able to professionally plan, conduct and evaluate the training project.
