Course aims
To provide opportunities to acquire the science-based knowledge needed to design learning environments that facilitate autonomous motivation.
Brief description of the course
Contemporary motivation theories and ways they can be implemented to facilitate learning. Implicit Mindsets Theory. Achievement Goals Theory. Self-Determination Theory.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understand the importance of science-based decision-making in designing environments that facilitate learning motivation;
- are able to recognise and analyse factors that facilitate or suppress autonomous motivation in real-life situations.
