Course aims
●To support the acquisition of knowledge on information systems of memory institutions, integrated systems and digital information networks;
●To create preconditions for obtaining knowledge and skills on the design of e-services and information management in information networks, public registers and information systems of memory institutions

Brief description of the course
Information systems of memory institutions, their content and scope, structure and possibilities. Digital resources and web-portals, technologies and seeking possibilities. Integrated library systems and digital networks, their structure, models, developments and problems. Virtual and digital libraries, e-libraries, e-archives and portals, their seeking possibilities. E-databases. Information management in state information systems, structure and possibilities. Structure of governmental information systems, developments. E-service as an information system. User interface and design of e-services. Data models and metadata, analyze of process management. Information management in information systems of memory institutions: analyzes and practical assignments, case studies.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is familiar with context and components of information systems of memory institutions;
- can use and analyze information systems of memory institutions;
- names and can analyze integrated systems and their structure, scope and content, developments and software;
- identifies and analyzes user interfaces of integrated systems, technical solutions;
- is familiar with structure and possibilities of e-libraries, virtual and digital libraries, e-archives;
- knows developments of governmental information systems, their content, structure and scope;
- effectively uses registers and information systems (memory institutions, governmental and international systems);
- knows common state information services and e-services, digital portals;
- knows how to organize and design information in development of services.
