Course aims

To acquire skills for carrying out most common data management and statistical operations with Stata; to create readiness for further independent study of specific topics.

Brief description of the course

The course focuses on most common data management issues like crating and modifying variables, arranging datasets and carrying out descriptive and multivariate statistical analysis with Stata. Handling more specific datasets like survey data or event history data will be addressed briefly.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has ability to programme most common data management operations;
- can apply statistical methods in Stata environment, including digital skills.
