Course aims
To provide a deep insight into the principal sources, events, the social and political structures, ideological concepts of, and the main research problems concerning the societies of the ancient Rome.
Brief description of the course
History of Italy and Roman Empire, regime, society, life, religion and literature from Early Iron Age (1000 BC) up to the beginning of the Great Migration of Peoples and the decline of imperial authority over Western part in 400-500.
