Students who have not graduated from upper secondary schools where Estonian is the language of instruction, or who have graduated from schools where Estonian is only partly the language of instruction, are required to have Estonian language proficiency at C1 level.

- interprets anthropological texts and other material, relating empirical examples to anthropological approaches and social issues;
- applies anthropological concepts and perspectives in the analysis of cultural, social, and environmental issues;
- explains central methods of anthropological research and principles of research ethics and their possible applications;
- analyses the interconnections between human experiences, social relations, and political, economic, and ecological processes in different cultural and social contexts;
