school, leisure, etc. The student can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. He/she can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. The student can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
At the end of the module of didactics, the student knows the basic principles of teaching German and German culture and the main theories of foreign language teaching methodology; she/he is proficient in foreign language teaching methodology and didactics and is capable of implementing theory in practice. MINOR FIELD OF STUDY MODULE: German Language and Culture
Aims
We offer the possibility to study German as minor subject. The module concentrates on the development of the four practical language skills (listening, show more...
writing, reading and speaking) in German in order to enable the students to use grammatically and stylistically correct language. Students will also get acquainted with the culture and the literary history of German-speaking countries and German linguistics.
The aim of the module is to help student achieve proficiency in German on level C1 of the Common European Framework. Together with the module of didactics the successful participation in this module allows for the teaching of German up to level B1. Learning outcomes

The student has also basic knowledge of literature and culture of German-speaking countries and general knowledge of the systematic description of German.
