Course aims

To obtain basic knowledge and practical skills in oral and written speech.

Brief description of the course

Improvement of communicative skills. Grammar: morphology and syntax. Translation, vocabulary and style. Conversation on common and special topics. Reading journalistic, easy fiction and medium complication texts. System grammatical studies. Bulgarian linguistic grammatical structure. Conjugated verbal forms: modes and tenses, direct and indirect speech, grammatical forms and their use. System review of modern bulgarian grammatical structure. Parts of speech: noun, adjective, numeral, pronoun, adverb, preposition, conjunction.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can freely read, speak and write in normative Bulgarian;
- understands and translates bulgarian publicism and belles-lettres.
