Course aims
To understand the gene expression regulation mechanisms in eukaryotic cells.
Brief description of the course
Genome structure. Gene structure. Transcription. RNA processing. Translation. Transcriptional gene expression control. Post-transcriptional gene expression control. Post-translational modification and localization of proteins.
Independent work
Self-dependent work consists of: working with literature, independent group works.
Learning outcomes in the course
Further knowledge of the mechanisms of the regulation of gene expression in eukaryotic cells.
