Course aims

To give students a chance to go into the improvisational music world and create a new entirety by using most typical jazz/pop skills.

Brief description of the course

Enhanced repetition of the material learned in the previous semester and the learning of voicing, i.e. practical layout of accords in the background sound; practical exercises: some elementary ways of using improvisations in the melody line in jazz/pop music, formation of base episode in the jazz/pop music programming, correct background texture, finding a scheme of rhythm and playing touches.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Practical skills for creating a new entirety by using the most typical basic principles of jazz/pop programming;
The knowledge of the most typical keyboard playing skills in jazz/pop programming.
