Course aims

Enhanced repeater of lessons learned in the previous semester with the knowledge of using it in practice, i.e. how to create a complete musical entity. Creation of suitable background sound, foreplay and interlude; practice in most typical playing skills of free jazz/pop program.

Brief description of the course

Enhanced repeater of the lessons learned in the previous semester and learning of voicing, i.e. practical layout of accords in background sound, improvisations in the melody line and some elementary ways of the use of it in interludes, forming of base episode in the jazz/pop music programming, correct background texture, finding scheme of rhythm and playing touches.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- practical skills in the use of basic principles of free jazz/pop programming;
- knowledge of most typical keyboard playing skills in free jazz/pop programming.
