Course aims
The purpose is to provide opportunities for: acquiring different drawing techniques, and learning to use of various media in drawing; to learn to use these skills and competencies in art classes in school.
Brief description of the course
Learning the various techniques and media in drawing to depict still life and figural composition – graphite/pencil, charcoal and ink drawing; pastel, sanguine and sepia; coloured pencil, felt-tip pen and ball-point pen; experimenting with various techniques and media; coloured drawing; mixed methods and media; various drawing techniques in the context of art teaching in schools.
Independent work – development of sketch portfolio (drawing daily life and people using various drawing techniques).

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is acquinted with various drawing techniques;
- is able to creatively use various drawing techniques and media;
- is able to experiment with various techniques;
- has knowledge of how to use various drawing techniques in art lessons in school.
