Course aims

Brief description of the course

The seminar analyses literary texts, films and objects and phenomena of visual culture comparatively from a coherent theoretical or thematic perspective.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- employs theories and methods for the comparative thematic analysis of the arts in a wider cultural context;
- analyses independently and in a group the intermedial interaction of literature, visual culture and film in a wider cultural context;
- presents their analytical results in a coherent written, oral or visual form.
