Course aims

To give an overview of most important historical events and concepts in the history and society of English-speaking countries.

Brief description of the course

Overview of the history, government and cultural traditions of English-speaking countries. Independent work includes the analysis of lecture materials and work with obligatory literature.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of most important historical events, contemporary society and cultural developments in English-speaking countries.
