Course aims

Basic Course of Single-Camera Video Production

Brief description of the course

Lectures:
Humane Senses & Limitations of Equipment.
Audio Signal: Frequency & Amplitude, Mesuring Audio; Stereo Recording,Types of Microphones, Mic Sound Pic-up,Mic Mounting.
Video Signal: Changing Light into Electrons;Recording Video Signal, Colour Video;Measuring Video signal;Video Recording,Video Standards;
Video Equipment: Image Source:Tube & Chip; Focus, Aperture & Deph of the Field; Wievfinder Accessories and Camera Controls.
Camera Supports, Hand-holding the Camera.
Lighting:Instruments; Styles of lighting:High & Low key; Colour temperature & white balnace;Measuring the Light&Contrast; 1,2,3-spot lighting;
Shooting:aspect ratio; illusion of depth,vocabulary of film language;shoot for Editing, the Eye Line, Objective& Subjective look, motivation for Cut, use of Sound in Editing;covering of the scene; Continuity; angles of view; static shots, panorama, tilt, camera in movment, dolly & crane shots.
Practical work: to write, shoot and edit a short movie 3-6 minutes.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows how to use single-camera and shoot a video.
