Course aims
The purpose of Supervision of LIFE Project is to support the enhancement and development of general competences, in particular the competences related to leadership and teamwork skills and those related to defining and resolving interdisciplinary problems.
Brief description of the course
The course Supervision of LIFE Project aims to enhance sustainability of LIFE projects by acquiring in-depth knowledge of one specific topic and being related to real life.

The student is a supervisor of a LIFE (YID6001.YM) project which includes 6 students from at least three different study areas. Supervision is supported by a mentor-lecturer from the university. The supervising student is either the author of the project idea or continues as a supervisor of a LIFE project started during the previous semester. Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- can identify an interdisciplinary problem, set goals and create cross-disciplinary connections;
- can critically evaluate the relevance of different disciplines to a specific topic/problem;
- has knowledge of effective methods of project management, including setting goals, time management, division of tasks, management of the budget and resources, quality assurance and implementation of control mechanisms;
- can give meaning to his/her action and reflect on his/her understanding as regards other people’s behaviour.
