Course aims
To create preconditions for the knowledge and skills that are necessary for the child's sensory-motor development levels and the functional capacity assessment . and to complete exercise and training plan.
Brief description of the course
Participating in the course this course provides an understanding of the importance of motor development and physical fitness in the early childhood years . After completing the course the student is able to evaluate the performance of the quality of children's movement, exercise capacity on the basis of knowledge of functional anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of assessment tests allows distinguish deviations from the standard motion pattern.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of child sensomotorical and fynctional abilities milestones;
- is able to Identify the elements of movement and their role in motor skill development;
- is able to plan developmentally appropriate movement experiences that promote motor skill development and physical fitness.
