Course aims
Provide basic knowledge about the structure and function of the human body, and a healthy diet. Explain the importance and principles of cooperation between the organs.
Brief description of the course
Man, as a whole: its composition, functioning and needs. Functions of organ systems and their positioning relative to each other. Organ systems dependent on each other's activities. The composition and function of organs. The principles of the most important components of physiology and effects throughout the body. The principles of healthy nutrition and applications in everyday life. Physiological tests for himself and his companions.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the basic principles of design and function of the human body;
- knows which organ systems and their bodies are composed, and which is a function of;
- knows the principles of co-operation between organs;
- knows the needs of the human body and the principles of healthy eating;
- can be associated with human anatomy and physiology of the theoretical knowledge with practical, everyday activities.
