Course aims
The students will
develop an understanding basic concepts of violence prevention and healthy relationship
obtain basic skills for creating healthy school environment and teaching critical life skills for violence prevention

Brief description of the course
Violence in the community, courses and prevention strategies. Violence prevention strategy Suicide. Healthy relationship. Ethical, emotional, social and personal aspects of a relationship. Desires and basic needs in communication process. Critical life skills. Honesty and openness as prerequisites for healthy relationships. Active listening skills and conflict mediation. Win-win conflict resolution.. Self-confidence. Issues of family law. Active listening skills in counselling methodology. Peer education counselling programme. Emergency. Healthy behaviour and violence education. Model programmes. Peer education methodology, mental health.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to demonstrate an understanding of all aspects of healthy relationship and basic concept of violence prevention;
- is able to demonstrate critical life skills in violence prevention.
