Course aims
To impart basic knowledge of human physiology which is necessary for completion of core subjects.
Brief description of the course
General characteristics of human physiology. Physiology of blood and blood circulation. Respiration. Alimentation. Energy and muscle metabolism. Endocrine system. Nervous and neuromuscular system.
Lectures, seminars, practical work in groups of10 -12 in the laboratory. The seminars are intended for presentation of homework.

Upon completing the course the student:

Know principles of Human physiology;
Know cardiovascular and respiratory function and performance;
Know basic principles of regulation system of human body;
Understand key concepts about metabolism and thermoregulation;
Know structure and function of skeletal muscle;
Perceive how the human body works.
