Course aims
Create prerequisites to critically think in risk management process and develop basic skills and knowledge for risk management. Support readiness to evaluate dangers and risks in order to provide quality and safe service.
Brief description of the course
Terminology and main principles related to risk management according to their appearance. Nature of risks in different recreational activities. Basic principles of risk management, legal aspects, strategy and technical aspects. Critical thinking and behavior in critical situations. Evaluation and control of risks in selected recreational activities. Formation of riskanalyses plan for selected recreational service/activity and/or location
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows main principles and concepts risk management;
- knows risk management aspects of different recreational activities;
- understands necessity to react on changing environmental conditions and situations;
- can define dangers and possible risks, choose suitable tactics to provide safe environment;
- is able to draft risk analyses report to specific recreational activity;
- is able to analyse necessity to react efficiently in critical situations.
