Course aims
To create preconditions for critical thinking necessary for risk management and for developing basic knowledge and skills to conduct risk management.
To support readyness to ensuring the service of high quality and safety with ability to recognize dangers and manage the risks inhereted.
Brief description of the course
• Terminology and basic concepts related to risk management and their presence of context.
• Characteristics of risk in different recreational activities.
• Principles of risk management, legal aspects, specification
• critical thinking and behavior during crises
• Assessing and controlling risks in recereational activity
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands principles of risk management, terminology and legal aspects;
- can list categories of recreational activities and describe their specificity;
- understanda the necessity to react on changing environmental conditions and specificity of the situation;
- can define sources for danger and possible risks inhereted, choose proper tactical operations to secure the safety;
- can name and apply procedural steps of risk management;
- can evaluate necessity to react as soon as possible in critical situations and skills to operate according to risk management plan.
