Course aims

Major. To provide the students with an overview of track and field events most frequently taught in the physical education lessons at school - sprint, long jump, high jump and shot put, ball throw

Brief description of the course

The competition rules, techniques, teaching methods and special exercises, and also the most commonly occurring mistakes, their causes and ways of eliminating - in sprint, long and high jump, shot put, ball throw

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows history of track and field, competition regulations;
- knows basic course methods of track and field events;
- knows speciality- oriented exercises, tehnics, exercise sets.
