Course aims

Core subject. To outline the main propositions of Russian Functional Syntax.

Brief description of the course

Formal, semantic and communicative aspects of Russian functional Syntax. Word form, phrase, simple and composite sentences. Differential features of sentences - predicativity, modality, temporality, personality. Basic models of Russian sentences. Basic predicative meanings of simple sentences in Russian. Composite sentences, their parts and classifications. Composite sentences and text.
