Course aims
It is the subject for masters studies. The course will give knowledge of the newest special literature, the ability to discuss the literature and to implement the knowledge in the analysis of Estonian society and politics.
Brief description of the course
The course will focus on the modern and postmodern welfare state; alteration of the roles of the institutions of the welfare state - family, market and state;
the class structure and employment patterns of postmodern welfare state; the impact of ideological discursion and value revolution to the models of welfare state; policy-making in postmodern state; the problems and reforms of main welfare policies; transient state peculiarities; welfare state adaptation to globalizing environment.
