Course aims
To provide survey of the relationships between culture, speech, and thinking with following from it the account of the development of mind, culture and a man.
Brief description of the course
An introduction to the science and MySelf. What is Me? What is the environment? Me and the sensual world. Me and the extrasensory world. Semiotically mediated thinking and speech. Transformation of Me on the basis of speech. What is culture? Theory of the stages of psychic development. From childhood to adulthood. From unicellulars to humans ... and further. And how does all this concern Me?
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the abstract theory of the culture, speech and thinking relationships with its potential to explain interesting mental phenomena.
