Course aims

The goal of the subject is to give a systematic overview of the principles of mechanics and to develop mechanical problem solving skills.

Brief description of the course

Kinematics of the issue of points and rigid bodies. Dynamics of translatory motion. Newtons laws. Force. Mass. Gravitation. Statics. Work and mechanical energy. Dynamics of rotational motion. Laws of conservation. Mechanics of fluids and gases.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Loengud. Ülesannete ja praktiliste probleemide lahendamine. Laboratoorsed tööd.
