Course aims

To acquire basic knowledge about the methods for solving equations and inequalities.
Students have solid foundation of mathematical knowledge for teaching school mathematics in the area of equations, systems of equations and inequalities.

Brief description of the course

Basic concepts related to rational equations, systems of equations and equalities. Rational, irrational and fractional equations and inequalities. Equations with absolute values, parametric equations- main solving methods.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has a deep and broad knowledge of the concepts, principles, techniques, and reasoning methods of mathematics in the listed areas;
- their knowledge encompasses not only the details, rules, and procedures of mathematics, but also the larger themes and connecting ideas that tie together its various strands.
