Course aims
Elective (open); to pass on the knowledge about expression of fusion proteins in E.coli, recombinant product purification and analysis (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot).
Brief description of the course
Preparation of competent cells, transformation, fusion protein expression, purification and analysis.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Student is capable to express and purify fusion proteins with affinity chromatography and analyse process and results with SDS-PAGE and Western Blot.
