Course aims
Objectives To enable understanding how school physics is related to the basic problems of modern physical sciences; to enable formation of skills necessary for the compilation and defence of a BSc thesis.
Brief description of the course
Course outline An overview of the problems in Estonian school physics and of modern trends in physics didactics and science. Studying and writing digests of latest special literature. Following and discussion of scientific reports. Individual work: preparation of a report on the topic of one's BSc thesis.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Learning outcomes General knowledge of the problems of physics didactics in Estonia and abroad; general knowledge on problems of modern physics; ability to explain the main aims, methods and results of research concisely and concretely to a wide audience.
