Course aims
Create opportunities to acquire basic demonstration methodology and conducting skills;
Support acquiring of the natural sciences methodology skills.
Brief description of the course
Analyse of Primary school program in chemistry and physics field. Demonstration of atomic structure. Safety in laboratory and using laboratory equipment and chemicals. Chemical reactions and characteristics. Water as a solvent, and chemical reactions take place environment. Water purification methods. The air, the air composition. Burning and decay. Thermal expansion of the air. Air pressure. Water characteristics - wetting, non-wetting, humidity. Water movement in the soil. Length and volume measurements. Types of forces, force demonstration facilities. Lenses and mirrors, beam of light refraction. Thermal phenomena. Electrical phenomena demonstration. Magnetic phenomena.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows and is able to demonstrate basic experiments in natural sciences with classical explanation;
- knows basic demonstration methodology, is able to select the right test tools;
- is familiar with the Primary school program and knows what kind of experiments to demonstrate the different topics.
