Course aims

Minor. The objective of the course is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the creation of multimedia based software using different authoring tools and existing media files.

Brief description of the course

The nature and concept of multimedia. Types of authoring tools. Basic principals of design. Text (fonts, styles and usage). Basics of computer graphics. Use of graphics, sound and video. Colours (colour theory, colour space, use). Distribution of multimedia products (CD, DVD, Internet). Creating multimedia based software using authoring tools such as Macromedia Authorware.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Kursuse põhiosa koosneb loengutest ja praktikumidest kus üliõpilastelt eeldatakse aktiivset kaasatöötamist ja -mõtlemist. Lisaks tuleb üliõpilastel iseseisvalt tutvuda teooria lisamaterjalidega.
