Course aims

To develop prerequisites for the acquisition of oral and written language skills in Italian at B2 level (Vantage) according to ELP (the European Language Portfolio).

Brief description of the course

The course enables students to gain the following competences: ability to talk on everyday topics, skills of retelling, listening to and writing more compex texts, ability to form and answer questions, ability to justify one’s opinions by using complex vocabulary, systematic usage of grammar in order to express one’s viewpoints, listening comprehension to extract detailed information.
The pre-requisite for the registration is B2.1 level in Italian.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has acquired in-depth knowledge about phonetics, vocabulary, morphology and syntax;
- is able to exploit the acquired knowledge in written and oral language;
- is able to pass an exam on B2 level.
