Course aims
To create opportunities to develop skills in Italian as a foreign language and aquire B2.1 level proficiency in the core skills of communicative competency: understanding oral and written texts (listening and reading), speaking (spokend interaction and production) and writing. To enroll to the course, the student must have a level B1 according to the European Framework for Languages (http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/linguistic/Source/Framework_EN.pdf )
Brief description of the course
The pre-requisite for the registration is B1.2 level in Italian.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to read articles and reports about contemporary problems, trace particular viewpoints and understand texts of personal interest.
- is able to understand extended speech and lectures, if the topic is reasonably familiar.
- is able to develop his point of view and participate in discussion.
- is able to present a sustained monologue about a subject of personal interest and support his or her ideas with relevant examples.
- is able to write clear texts on a wide range of subjects. The student can choose and pass on information, give reasons in support or agains of his or her point of view.
