Brief description of the course
Grammar: regular nouns and adjectives, their singular, plural and gender attributes, usage of definite and indefinite article, infinitive forms of verbs, present tenses and formation of imperative mood, personal pronouns and possessive adjectives.
Speaking skills: self introduction, ability to understand simple everyday communication, ability to answer questions on the following topics: age, home etc.; enhancement of vocabulary on such topics as family, colours, parts of body, food, telephone, public transport.
Writing skills: compiling short descriptive and informative texts.
Reading and listening comprehension: ability to understand short informative texts and comprehend listening texts on everyday topics.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to exploit the acquired forms in oral and written texts;
- is able to recognise and form grammar structures, undersatnd slow everyday speech, read simple descriptive and informative texts;
- is able to pass an exam on A1 level.
