Course aims

The aim is to develop a sense of style through history and personal stylistics. To develop the ability to perceive style in shaping the image of oneself and others, to distinguish modern consepts from the historical. To support the development of knowledge about clothing etiquette.

Brief description of the course

The subject explores the stylistics, body types, fitting the cuts, material and colors by the person. Through practical tasks, people practice to perceive style better for themselves and others. The topics include the sense of style, stylistics of men and clothing according to the etiquette. The differences between historical clothing and modern clothing will be discussed. The effects of contrasting colors on people and the importance of colors in clothing in general will be spoke.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has basic knowledge and skills in stylistics (written assignments);
- is able to express creative ideas through stylistics (practical work).

Preparation for seminars, solving study tasks. Presentation of practical works on the style of eras, personal stylistics and knowledge of etiquette.
