Course aims
To give an overview and create opportunities for the acquisition of practical skills of application music therapy to various target groups.
Brief description of the course
Therapeutic use of music and music therapy to treat psychosocial problems in adults’ psychiatry and family therapy. The opportunities of music therapy in work with elderly people. Community music therapy.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Knowledge about principles of music therapy in different target groups;
Skills of creating contact with clients with different needs by means of music;
Ability to flexibly use music therapy techniques and plan music therapy processes proceeding from the special needs of a client.
