Course aims
To give survey of basic knowledge and skills in playing chosen wind or percussion instrument, getting acquainted with the history of the instrument and its repertoire and the basics of the playing technique.
Brief description of the course
General principles of playing scales and etudes. The analysis of the process of rehearsing and assessment of the results. Chromatic scale and different ways of playing it. Major and Minor scales up to 3 key signature. Etudes and short pieces to the accompaniment of piano to develop various techniques of playing.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Student be capable of playing in chosen instrument Major and Minor scales up to the 3rd key signature.
Acquired basic knowledge and skills of the playing etudes and short pieces to the accompaniment of piano.
