Course aims

The objective is to give an overview of the effectiveness of school health programmes and to teach most important health promotion/education evaluation principles and methods.

Brief description of the course

Quality in health promotion. Quality criteria, international quality guidelines in HP.
Planning and organization of evaluation.
The processe of development of quality criteria and using in needs assessment. Data collection and monitoring. Quantitative and qualitative evaluation. Processe evaluation and outcome evaluation in health education. Evaluation examples of different health education activities: programmes, lessons, teaching materials, trainings etc.
Health education standards and school programme. Introduction of Estonian National HE Standards.
Planning and quality. Simple evaluation plans and strategy.
