Course aims
Create conditions:
● to support, manage, and develop learning and development (L&D) processes within the organization;
● for collaboration with training service and continuing education providers operating in the Estonian training market;
● for managing learning and development processes as a training service and continuing education provider.
Brief description of the course
● Learning & development processes within the organization.
● Creating a culture and environment supportive of learning.
● Management of learning and development processes, strategy and planning of the learning process within the organization.
● The role of the L&D professionals/positions, competences and development opportunities.
● Regulatory environment of the training service and continuing education providers.
● Types of companies providing training services in the Estonian training market, entrepreneurship in the training market, requirements for a training service provider.
● Client training needs analyses and supporting clients' learning and development process as a service provider.
● Basics of managing and organizing a training company.
Independent work includes reading compulsory literature, participating in group work during seminars, compiling a practical development project, and self and team reflection.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands and comprehends the significance of learning and development processes within the organization, supports the formation of a learning culture;
- designs and advises on the learning and development process within the specific context of an organization;
- has analyzed collaboration opportunities within the framework of a development project with continuing education service providers operating in the Estonian training market;
- is familiar with the fundamentals of managing and organizing continuing education entrepreneurship.
