Course aims

To implement the theoretical educational knowledge and skills in real school environment, notice and manage with the educatonal problems, development of reflection skills.

Brief description of the course

Practice is carried out at the second level of basic school.Getting to know the practice school, its staff, the school's organisation of work. Observation of theacher'(s) lessons, giving lessons in trial and core subjects. Getting to know and fulfilling the tasks of the class teacher. Completing individual tasks in extra-curricular activities. Valuing the experience. Receiving feedback to the work done, analysing and assessing it. Individual work: completing the documentation of the tasks of teaching practice.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can connect the theoretical knowledge and transfer it into one’s practical activities as a teacher;
- knows the developmental characteristics of the pupil of the second school level;
- knows the organisation of the practice school and its basic educational documents;
- knows the study materials of the second school level;
- can observe and analyse lessons;
- can plan and conduct lessons;
- knows the work of a class teacher;
- can assess one’s own activities as a teacher.
