Course aims
The aim of the course is to provide the early childhood teacher with necessary basic communication skills and to establish a basis for collaborative relationships with parents and colleagues.
Brief description of the course
Realtionship building and maintaining skills in teaching. Effective and ineffective communication. Importance of cooperation, partnership skills and principles with parents and colleagues.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows practical communication techniques and strategies in different collaborative situations with children, parents and colleagues;
- has knowledge of the importance of establishing partnership with parents and opportunities of involving parents in early childhood setting;
- values partnership with parents and colleagues in creating conditions that support children's development and teacher's professional evolvement.
