Course aims

To develop an understanding of how may manage ethical issues and legal aspects in the digital environment; to help the students to recognize the legal aspects of information resources.

Brief description of the course

The content of the course: Information ethics. Professional codes of ethics; Ethical aspects of digital libraries; Legal aspects of digital information resources; International agreements.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can recognize the issues of information ethics and legal aspects;
- can apply legal methods to access, acquire and use digital information resources
