Course aims
The goal of the course is to highlight the experiential, affective, meaningful and valuable aspects of human-computer interaction as a complement to pragmatic attributes such as utility, ease of use and efficiency of the system.
Brief description of the course
User experience evaluation: methods, tools, metrics and criteria.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to recognize and be aware of the main user experience concepts, metrics and methods to assess interactive systems;
- knows how to design, plan, and conduct usability and user experience tests using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods;
- is able to work collaboratively in group-based evaluation projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, in both in-person and remote formats;
- can operate under ambiguity and time constraints to propose evidence-based recommendations that improve system usability, accessibility, ethics, trust, and sustainability.
