Course aims
The course aims to provide the necessary skills for implementing design ideas as functional prototypes.
 
Brief description of the course
The course introduces the building blocks required for developing interactive systems, foundations of developing distributed user interfaces, integrated development environments, UI development toolkits, and source code version control. Prototypes an interactive system using modern technology stacks. In group, students will apply hands-on experience of building functional prototypes. The course ends with a presentation and live demo of projects.
 
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- explains the building blocks of interactive systems and their input/output capabilities;
- develops functional prototypes, applies reusable code components and styling frameworks;
- works in teams and distributes functionality to be developed among team members;
- presents and demonstrates interactive prototypes in a professional context.
