Course aims
The aim of the course is to introduce digital age competencies and to support the development of neccesary knowledge and practical skills and implementation of competencies in professional context.
Brief description of the course
Digital literacy and digital competence concept and components. Information, information search strategy and tactics, information sources, critical assessment of the information, referencing and plagiarism, distribution. TLU databases, copyright, Creative Commons licenses. Digital content creation, co-creation and presentation. Identity, Privacy. Communication, online network communication, sharing the materials. Project management. Personalised learning and working environment. The influence of technological resources.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- locates, evaluates, manages and distributes information conciously via digital technology solutions;
- uses a variety of technological solutions for digital communication and professional collaboration;
- creates and reproduces digital content taking into account copyright principles;
- understands the effects of technological tools related to security, privacy, health and the environment;
- uses technology creatively and is able to solve problems that may arise;
- uses digital tools to support learning and personal development.
