Course aims
Create premises for understanding popular culture, specially popular music, to analyse the ideas and apply them in practice, to create connections between popular culture and general cultural context.
Brief description of the course
Lectures cover a range of popular archetypes (rebel, andogyne, machine etc) and observe their emergence in contemporary popular consciousness. The analysis is mainly based on popular music and its language in both the musical and imagological sense.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
