Course aims
To take an overview of Latin grammatical categories, of declination system and verb tenses. To take an introduction to the Latin syntax.
Brief description of the course
During the courses, a theoretical overview of Latin grammatical categories, declinations and verbal system will be taken. Also, the functions of the cases and the principles of use of the verbal tenses in Latin main and subordinate sentences will be treated. The half of the course time plan will be spent to the lecture and morpho-syntactical analyse of authentic Latin texts.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
To be able to understand a Latin text with the help of dictionaries and grammars.
